Blueprint for Happiness – Part 5

Based on what we have heard so far in the Blueprint of Happiness, we have seen that the focus in our life should be how to discover our natural state, which is happiness. We don’t need to add different things and objects to become happy.

In Part 05 of the Blue print of Happiness series, it is explained that every individual desires to be 100% happy. Also it is a basic fact of Life that “One cannot desire anything unknown”. The natural corollary that follows is that I am Naturally Happy and I know 100% Happiness. This Happiness is centered in me as I know myself the best.

The knowledge of a person can be divided into 2 parts. One part consists of the knowledge about what he knows and the second part of his knowledge is about what he does not know. Hence every individual is aware of what he knows and what he is ignorant of. This proves that in essence you are all knowing.

Why It Is Important for You to Truly Walk, Talk and Laugh English

How many times have you cringed at the use of a wrong word when a senior professional is addressing an audience? Even worse, there is no way to know if you are one of them, until and unless candid feedback from peers is sought. How about a poorly worded email or letter that finds its way to your work-desk? What is your impression of the sender in this case? Not very positive one, for sure. Now-a-days, sadly, even popular print media seems to have fallen victim to the vicious clutch of typos and grammatical errors!

Consider this, “Don’t stop…” as against, “Don’t! Stop!!”. See the stark contrast in meaning simply by bringing in punctuation? And this is only the tip of the iceberg, since the choice of words can make a world of difference in effective communication.

Also, how many times have you heard: “Can I call you back?”. For the uninitiated, there is a classic response to this in the form of an old joke that goes, “I’m not sure whether you CAN or CANNOT, but YES, you MAY call me back”.

Finer nuances of the English language lay down that CAN depends on the will of the person speaking it and need not necessarily be permission-seeking, like the word MAY. Hence the need to always say, “May I call you back?”. While the need to speak the English language effectively has been much debated in our country, statistics reveal that it is best to invest in upping English language skills. While it is important not to forget one’s roots and hold on to the mother tongue, it is equally important to learn the English language with a special focus on avoiding any ‘mother tongue influence’ on diction as well as pronunciation.

The second most spoken language in the world, English is also the most widely used medium of communication on the internet. This in itself is reason enough for one to ensure that English language training is taken, if necessary, to be on the top of their game. After all, the crux of soft skills training is to be able to make oneself heard loud and clear, without offending anyone, however unpleasant the message might be!

An integral part of soft skills training for employees, English language training is an aspect that usually takes a lot more of hard work and diligent efforts to master. The onus rests largely on the learner to develop a genuine interest and flair for the language, rather than looking for short-cuts to memorize a few ‘heavy’ words and make do with dropping these occasionally in an attempt to make a big impression on listeners. Painstaking efforts are usually required from both sides – that of the learner as well as the tutor, to ensure that the English language training module is effective in every sense of the word.

Remember: A little help from experts at is all it takes to ace the English language game!

Blue Print for Happiness – Part 4

The question we have to think about is if Happiness is my natural state, then why is it that I don’t experience it all times? Why is it that I feel unhappy at times, if happiness is an integral part of me?

Having shown that Happiness is natural to all, in Part 04 of the Blue print of Happiness series, we discuss that we tend not to be happy at all times. It can be said that we lose our “Happy Self” somewhere. If we compare our “Happy Self” to being the Sun, then we can say that this “Happy Self” gets hidden behind a “Cloud of ignorance”. In our ignorance we may feel that the sun has not risen today or that I am not a happy person. But the reality is that a cloud has hidden the sun from us. We just need to remove the cloud of ignorance and discover the Sun of our “Happy Self”.

Blue Print for Happiness – Part 3

In order for Discover Happiness in our lives, it is important to define what the problem is. Do I need to “work” and add objects to become happy or is Happiness my internal state of mind and I just need to discover it?

In Part 03 of the Blue print of Happiness series, it is pointed out that every object has certain natural properties that define it and are expected of it. For example, sugar is sweet and expected to be sweet. In other words, sweetness is the natural property of sugar. We don’t complain when sugar is sweet. Same way when we are happy we have no complaints. The corollary is that “I am naturally happy”.

The lesson is that I don’t need external objects to be happy. Happiness is my internal state of mind. We can enjoy objects but our Happiness doesn’t need to depend on objects.
